A lovely new home

Today we went to see Beckie in her new home and it is such a lovely place to start her new life with boyfriend Chris.
I think they will be very happy here and WOW what a kitchen to ccok all those romantic meals for 2 in.

You can see the sea from where she lives and that is fantastic in itself as there is nothing better than to breath in the sea air and take a walk along the beach after a stressful day at work

Photography

I love taking pictures and I have enroled in a photography course starting in September and I am soo excited,hopefully you will see from september my technique improving and some of my work will be going on this blog.

Lucy and Megan are fantastic to photograph,Lucy not being aware of the camera and Megan just loving her picture taken.The hardset one to photograph id Daniel and he will dodge the camera at every chance so I have to catch him unaware.

all mums are working mums

I was thinking back to how I used to manage to juggle work and family life the other day and I am not really sure how I did although we all survived and somehow it kind of worked AND I made time for myself.
I just dont do that now I feel like I havnt earned it in some ways and when I was out working I felt like I had,if this makes any sence.

I know this is crazy and maybe a bit of me time is a good idea to keep me sane through all the day to day chores.I am not complaining though I think of how stressed I used to be and how much I missed the children growing up and even birthday parties when I was just to busy to be there.

I guess the baggage of guilt we mums carry round when we work and when we dont work are always there but in different forms and this is just part of being a mummy

Megs and I waited till everyone went to bed to create these cupcakes and didnt finish till 11pm but we had a great time chatting and decorating our cakes and we told Daniel that the faries had been in the night and made us cakes....yeah right mum!!!! he didnt buy it but he enjoyed eating the cakes all the same

Little chef

I had a very good little helper today in the kitchen,Daniel really loved to help me cook and I must say he helped me make the perfect roasts.

There were not many carrots left by the time they went in the pan though!!!

Diamonds are forever

Megan had lots of well wishes and congratulation presents and cards for her fantastic resuts in her sats but was never more pleased than the new ear piercing and so long as she doesnt ask for a belly or nose piercing next exams then we are all happy

Last day of school

Megan has now left junior school and will start a new chapter in her life when she goes to her new school after the holidays.

She did very very well in her sats and obtained level 5 in english and science and a level 4 in maths.

She did so well to get in to her new school and although its a boarding school she will not be boarding and home every night.Megan we are so proud of you you will go far for sure.

Daniel is quite the little piano player here and maybe by the look of his technique will be a future star on the ivorys

Number 1

Well done Megan for getting first place in your running race at sports day today.
She went on to get 2 3rds and a fourth place as well.

The rain stayed away and all the children did a great job.

Ice queen

Megan is beautiful as ice queen and she is living up to her image this week as I am sure hormones are starting to kick in and we are in conflict over this that the other.

Today she has gone to a friends house after school for a swimming party,its an outdoor pool and I am sure she will will be feeling a little ice maiden as the weather is a little chilly now.
I have missed her not being here tonight and looking forward to her getting home.Ahhh see even my ice queen melts my heart

Carnival time again

Phew what a weekend we have been enjoying the town celebrations and it started with a party in the park with a few tribute bands,Take that 2 being the finale and we didnt get home till after midnight,think the candy floss had kept Daniel going and once 8pm came Lucy was oblivious to the noise as she lay sleeping in her pram.
After a few glasses of wine I was dancing the night away and we had great company and a great night

Young and in love

My big girl is starting a new journey in her life and is going to move in with her boyfriend Chris.

She has handed in her notice at work and at the end of the month will move almost 200 miles away to start her new life ans I wish her the very very best as that is what she deserves,the best!!

I think there is nothing better than young love and the joys of starting out hand in hand with the person that you love and trust and I hope that she settles well in her new home.

We all wish them both lots of love

St Trinian

Megan had to go to school dressed as a character from a book and although technically St Trinian is not a book she decided to go as the posh one from the recent film and so it was curlers and knee high socks and I think the end result was great in fact I liked it better than her regular uniform

Lord Mayors celebration

Once each year the streets of Norwich are closed for the lord Mayors celebration and today the sun shone for all.
Daniel waved his flag for England and I am sure he has gone to bed with aching wrists from all the flag waving.
Over 60 decorated floats and marching bands took part and we had a really great time watching them all float by

crazy how times goes by

How neglectful have I been!!!
Life is so hectic but I don't know why as I used to do all this AND work so goodness knows how I managed before.

The children are all well and Lucy has come on in leaps and bounds and progress is amazing.
Megan is still the sporting lady and is now going to be playing in the county finals in the cricket tournament.

Daniel is pushing me hard right now and spends a lot of the day like a broken record with this that or the other yet manages to be very very cute while at it,boy I look forward to his bed time these days but look forward to the morning when I can spend time with him again.

Lucy is as I said doing very well and can now sit up,stand and is becoming a lot more alert and active and her little character is shining through

Beckie is doing fine and has passed her driving test and is making many more visits now she can just hop in her car so all in all life has been busy but fine and I will promise to update a little more often

New toy

I have been given a new camera for my birthday and I am practicing with how to use it.
We went the other week to a venture photo studio and had some lovely pictures done but the cost of their packages was enough to make one a little faint.
I have tried to recreate the look of the photos and I am quite pleased with the results and at about 1,000 cheaper it cant be bad

happy holidays

A little late updating our easter holiday photos but we had a great time in windsor and stayed in a lovely hotel that Daniel called a castle,he now wants to live in a castle,so does mummy if it means getting all your cleaning and laundry,cooking ect done and having a nice swimming pool and health club on site,breakfast on tap and everyone calling me madame all day and getting back to your room with a freshly laundered bed with hot chocolate sachets on the pillow...........hmmmmm how the other half live.
We went to lego land too a big hit with Daniel.....and Megan although she might not admit it now she is a grown up 10 year old.
